Information regarding Tracy L Pass School of Motoring :

Tracy L Pass, fully qualified Grade A Driving Instructor, will be the Driving Instructor with no substitute Instructor.

A fully insured, fit for purpose, dual-controlled car will be provided for driving lessons.

The full lesson is always used and is never cut short.

No part of a lesson is ever used to fill up with fuel or conduct any personal business by the Driving Instructor.

Every effort is made to arrive on time for lessons, however if, due to unforeseen circumstances, the Instructor is late then the lesson will be rolled over in order that no time is ever lost by the Customer.

The National Standards for Driver and Rider will be strictly adhered to at all times together with providing a professional and safe environment to learn in.

Terms and Conditions of Business :

Payment for any special offers, including Block Bookings, is required either before or on the first lesson. This payment in advance, if not used, will expire 6 months after receipt of payment.

Please note that the purchase of a Special Offer or Block Booking, if cancelled within 48 hours of purchase and before driving lessons have commenced, is fully refundable. However, if a Special Offer or Block Booking is cancelled after this point or the Practical Test has been taken and passed before the completion of the prepaid Block Booking, then it is subject to a £70 cancellation fee. Once cancelled or Practical Test has been passed, no part of the remaining balance is transferable to additional training.

48 HOUR NOTICE must be given to cancel a driving lesson. If this notice is not given then the price of the lesson is payable.

Also, the following will result in the full lesson fee being charged for :

• Not being at the pre-arranged place on the correct day and time

• If the Instructor feels that the Customer is unfit to drive for example, through tiredness, alcohol or drugs

• If spectacles are required to be worn for driving and are forgotten for lesson

If a Customer has any pre-existing medical conditions that could affect driving, these should be made known to the Instructor prior to commencement of lessons, this includes such things as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, aspergers syndrome, autism, history of epilepsy, panic attacks, learning difficulties of any kind, partial or total loss of hearing, colour blind etc. This information will be kept in the strictest confidence and will not be divulged to any third party, it is needed to ensure that you as the Customer receives the best and most appropriate level of tuition and care.

THE DRIVING TEST

Booking a driving test should only take place after a discussion has taken place with the Driving Instructor to agree on a suitable date. Mock Driving Tests will be conducted with the Customer and should be passed prior to taking the DVSA Practical Driving Test.

Once the Driving Test has been booked with the DVSA, a booking confirmation email will be sent to the candidate from the DVSA with information and links for the candidate to review to ensure they are ready to take the test. The DVSA will also highlight the last date the candidate can cancel or postpone their test without losing the test fee; this is 10 working days before the test date. It is the candidates responsibility to ensure that the appropriate notice is given to the DVSA if the test needs to be postponed.

An additional mock driving test will be conducted with the Customer approximately 15 days prior to the DVSA practical test date to ensure the Customer is test ready.

The Instructor reserves the right to withdraw the use of the training car for Test if the required standard is not reached.

The candidate reserves the right to take the Test in their own vehicle as long as the vehicle meets the requirements given by the DVSA on the gov.uk website. The candidate must be accompanied by a supervising passenger who is over the age of 21, who has held a full licence for over 3 years (for the same vehicle type), meets eyesight standards, isn’t banned from driving and isn’t being paid for supervising the candidate.
